After Nadeo published the last news that free Trackmania Nations players are from now no more allowed to play on all servers except of FreeZone-Servers (+ 3 servers in the favlist) that are hosted by Nadeo itself, it is unclear if Trackmania stays so successful like it was the past years.
That's a really big thing for the ESL, all other Cups and leagues and this may be the end of this nice open community.

We are aware that the game can't be bought by many (even in some nations) This is why we keep the solution to enter a server with the favorite list function. This list will be reset and limited to three for free account. A server can simply be added through a tmtp link like this "tmtp://#addfavourite=serverlogin"
For your information, around one third of connections are from paying accounts. The Nadeo team is working hard to have the capacity for all simultaneous players using free accounts. If we encounter unforeseen issues, we will try to adapt quickly to the situation and we apologized before if we create troubles. We have been informed really late by our partner that they are shutting down our contracts, and we now have to quickly adapt.
it looks like we will be able to enable the come back of player's servers in January (I would bet the second half) They will have to follow some rules that we need to explore in the days/weeks to come.
it may be a coppers system, with retribution to the conversion of players. We don't know yet. We will look after the rules and the system until the re opening.
I am quite busy this week, but the team will follow how things are going.
Even if it is not the primary concern of affected host players, the operation is going well. If I say this to them, it is because it positive to have solutions to support the game. In this regard, we should come back in two weeks with some interesting stuff for them. We should have good time with the players that will still be in their own holiday while we will be back from ours.
thank you for constructive players out there and I just can say that we are sorry to not be perfect to the others. we are adapting to a new situation and I think that we are going to be back in a good situation really soon, which is quite short delay compared to the history of TrackMania of seven years.
